Aug.23, 2006(シアトル時間） シアトル到着！

シアトルにはお昼前すぎに到着しました。
見覚えのある空港・・・少しずつ思い出してきたかな・・・でもやっぱり訳が分かりません。
迎えに来てくれたエージェントの方に伺うと、空港もほとんど変わったそうです。
当たり前か・・・なんてったて１ん年たっているんですからね～。

そしてホストファミリーのおうちに着きました。
私達家族４人を受け入れてくれたのは一人暮らしのアンジーでした。
ほぼ母とおなじ年なんですが・・・見た目若いです。お土産をとても喜んでくれました。

私の学校までの道のりを教えてくれたり、子ども達の学校の場所を探してくれました。
そして明日からは毎朝送ってくれることになりました。感謝！感謝！です。

今日の夕食はローストビーフ。塩、コショウ、ガーリックパウダーをかけて焼いただけのシンプルなものでしたがすばらしくおいしかったです。
シアトルは夏の間は夜の９時半くらいまで明るいのです。時差ぼけもあって、もう訳が分からなくなっていました。そして夕食を食べ終わったのは夜１０時過ぎでした。

明日からがんばろう！

We arrived at our host family’s house, and my agent introduced our host mother to us. Our host mother’s name is Anjie. She lived alone. She was about my mom’s age, but she looked much younger than my mom. After we greeted I was so tired because of jet lag, so we went to take a nap. However, Luna didn’t get a jet lag so she explored the house and garden with her host mother. We had roasted beef for dinner. It was very good and I was surprised that Anjie put only salt, pepper and garlic powder on it and roasted it. It was after 9:30 when we finished eating, but it was still light out side. That made the girls surprised and confused.
