下の娘は何か感じているのか、朝からちょっと機嫌が悪いです。
学校に着くとやさしい先生達が迎えてくれました。
上の娘は元気よく自己紹介して、自分からクラスに入って行きました。
けれど下の娘は････泣いてます。くっついて離れません・・・。
仕方ないけれどね。なんてったって、クラスにたった一人の日本人。
上の娘に比べて英語力はないんです。
でも子どもの力を信じておいてきました。
その後私と母はHighline Community Collegeにてクラス分けのテストがありました。
明日からが本格的なクラスのスタートです。
基礎英語しかやってこなかった母ですが、一応クラスを受けることになっていました。
けれどテストを前に、来たことを猛烈に後悔していましたね・・・。
テストも無事終わり、学校の見学を終え今日の日程は終了です。
娘を迎えに行くと・・・こんな顔していました。
そして泣きついてきました。一生懸命がんばったんだね！
先生はとても優しい方で「問題なくやっていましたよ」と教えてくれました。
上の娘は早速友達が出来、楽しそうに学校の話をしてくれました。
The next day was the first day of the school. My mom and Luna were worried about their new classes. When we get to the Learning Center, the school for kids, Luna didn’t want to go to school. She cried and cried, but I left her at school. I thought she will be fine without me. Teachers are nice and I thought they were honest and trustworthy, so I left for my school.
After my class, we went to pick the girls up. Reina was fine with her classmates and she told me she had fun with them. Luna looked really sad, but her teacher said she did very well in the class. I was relieved!
